The starting point.
Peak Plumbing & HVAC operates in three Denver-area service zones: central Denver, Aurora, and Lakewood. They run 14 technicians, complete roughly 1,200 service tickets per month, and had three separate Google Business Profiles — one per service area. Two of the three profiles were stuck in the 4.1 to 4.3 star range, with the central Denver profile dragged down by a string of one-star reviews after a difficult winter when the dispatch team was overwhelmed and missed appointment windows.
The owner, Marcus, had tried two prior solutions: a per-message SMS tool that cost roughly $480/month across the three locations and a Jobber automation that emailed customers post-job. Neither moved the needle — the email tool had a 12% open rate and the SMS tool's templates were generic enough that customers ignored them.
The Jobber + ApexReviewPro setup.
The campaign architecture for a multi-location home services account is fundamentally different from a single-location dental practice. Peak's specialist, Dion, built a job-completion-triggered automation:
- Technician marks a job "Complete" in Jobber on the truck's mobile app.
- Jobber fires a webhook to ApexReviewPro with the customer's first name, phone, email, service area, and job type.
- ApexReviewPro queues a review-request SMS and email to be sent at the next sensible delay (4 hours for residential, 24 hours for commercial — based on Peak's testing data).
- The SMS routes through the correct Google Business Profile for the service area, so a job in Aurora sends to the Aurora GBP and a job in Lakewood sends to the Lakewood GBP.
- Negative responses (3 stars or below in the routing widget) ping Marcus's phone via a Slack integration so he can call the customer within 30 minutes.
Sample SMS — Peak's actual template.
"Hey Tina! It's Peak Plumbing — thanks for letting us out today. If our tech took care of you, could you drop us a quick Google review? Means everything to a local crew. {ReviewLink} — Reply STOP to opt out."
Why job-completion timing matters for home services.
Home services customers are most enthusiastic about leaving a review in the first 4 to 12 hours after a successful service call — when the broken sink is fixed, the AC is blowing cold air, or the leak is stopped. Wait 48 hours and that enthusiasm fades; wait a week and the customer has forgotten the technician's name. Peak's 4-hour delay on residential jobs hit the enthusiasm peak directly, and their SMS conversion rate ended up at 23% — over 10× the industry average for review-request texts.
Negative review interception saved at least 9 public 1-stars.
Over the 90-day case study, Peak's routing widget captured 14 unhappy customers (3 stars or below on the internal feedback form). Marcus called all 14 personally within an hour. Nine of them said they were planning to leave a public 1-star review and changed their minds after the call — usually after Peak offered a credit, a follow-up visit, or simply an apology. Three of those nine eventually left a public 5-star review crediting the recovery.
The technician dashboard turned into a management tool.
One unexpected benefit: ApexReviewPro's technician-level attribution let Marcus see which techs were generating 5-star reviews and which were generating 3s. One technician — Ray — held a 96% 5-star rate over 412 tickets in the case study window. Two others held below 80%. Marcus started routing membership-tier customers and high-ticket installs to Ray, and used the dashboard to coach the two underperformers on customer communication.
"Apex didn't just get us reviews — they gave us management data we didn't have before. Knowing exactly which tech is converting customers into 5-star reviews changed how we route jobs. Ray got a $4/hr raise and a profit share off the back of his Apex numbers." — Marcus L., Peak Plumbing & HVAC

What this case study is and isn't.
This is not a study of how reviews alone drive home services revenue. Peak still runs paid Google ads, has a strong yard-sign program, and runs an excellent dispatch operation. ApexReviewPro accelerated the review-driven half of their lead engine; the rest of the lead engine still has to work. What the case study does demonstrate is that a $99/month flat-rate review service can move a multi-location home services operator's local pack ranking and inbound call volume meaningfully within 90 days.
